Life should NOT be a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely
in an attractive and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
cigar in one hand,
favorite beverage in the other,
body thoroughly used up,
totally worn out,
and screaming,
"WOO HOO, what a ride!!"
Remember: This is not a dress rehearsal!
The incredibly kind and interesting nurse practitioner who gives me my allergy shots shared this with me today. Of course, she doesn't entirely agree with the drinking and smoking part! But the sentiment is spot on.
